Responsibilities
- Designing, developing and maintaining technical solutions.
- Converting customer requirements into technical code or system configuration.
- Providing guidance and insight to clients in the area of cloud technologies.
- Driving cloud deployment standardization using preferred frameworks.
- Working with Cloud Engineers and System Engineers to design and deploy cloud solutions.
- Resolving cloud performance, access and security issues.
- Promoting infrastructure technology standards through automation and service-based development.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Developer or Architect.
- Highly skilled and efficient with web / application development technologies.
- Previously completed cloud SaaS, IaaS and PaaS projects.
- Hands-on experience with one of the cloud services providers (GCP, AWS or Azure).
- Experience in core cloud services architecture and cost mechanics (compute, containers, database, serverless, storage, etc).
- Deep understanding of access control models and network security.
- Experience in building modern, secure, scalable, resilient systems.
- Understanding of modern DevOps/SRE concepts - CI/CD, automation, configuration management, immutability.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with WebServices - REST, SOAP and Microservices.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain, persuade and communicate at all levels of the organization.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining cloud financial controls, tags, allocations, budgets, and processes. You will collaborate with product development, support and execution teams to implement principles to ensure the efficient allocation of resources. The role also includes identifying, analyzing and prioritizing cloud optimization recommendations, identifying potential saving opportunities.
We are looking for talented professionals that will partner with architects and engineers to advise on architecture and resource optimization, waste management, capacity management and other cloud cost enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring cloud consumption to mitigate waste and to determine areas of resource efficiency.
- Advise on cloud resource setup in light of operational and financial trade-offs.
- Recommend savings opportunities related to cloud commitment purchases (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot, Committed/Sustained Usage, etc).
- Deriving cost impact and advising on the cost mechanics and alternatives of the various cloud services.
- Tracking utilization of cloud reservation and working with engineers to re-purpose freed up capacity.
- Evaluating and investigating data patterns and anomalies to gain insightful knowledge.
- Leveraging various tools to advise on strategies for resource mapping, tagging, and maturity.
- Analyzing cloud services.
- Participating in building cost optimization policies and best practices.
- Automating and integrating client’s processes and data.
Requirements

- Solid experience with DevOps - knowledge of optimization, automation, integration, and productivity tools.
- Solid experience with relevant native and 3rd party cloud monitoring tools.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. WireShark).
